Except for the deck, there is no place on commercial trailers designed to safely secure dunnage. When loads require the full length of the deck, the dunnage must be removed, but as stated before, there is no place on commercial trailers designed to safely secure dunnage aside from the deck.

Having to move the dunnage they’re required to carry and store them in places on the trailer that are not designed for that purpose. This can lead to unsafe working conditions for the driver and can endanger the public if dunnage is not secured correctly.
